Company History

​

Before Mr. Efren Marquez started E. Marquez his inspiration and motivation started from 1959 because of his father’s craft as a carpenter and peddling for furniture along Tondo, Manila. Until it became an upholstery along Rizal Ave (near LRT Abad Santos).

 

As he grow up, he took up Commerce in Far Eastern University and graduated in Batch 1979. After he finishes his Bachelor’s Degree, he started working with their family business, R. Marquez which is his father’s business. 

He works as a salesman and in delivery which hones him as a better individual with sense of responsibility with their clients.
When 1987 came, R. Marquez was transferred to their mom, Leona Marquez, because Mr. Romualdo passed away and as a family, they conquered different problems in the business together.

1988-1989 – Mr. Efren became one of the best seller awarded by a company and up until 1990’s the business was featured in television shows. 

But as the reality strikes in 1994, every businesses has its ups and downs because of the expenses from the past years. R. Marquez finally came to an end.

Mr. Efren Marquez still didn’t back down when 1985 came and that was the start of E. Marquez Furniture. With his determination and patience with his craft, as the year goes by, they survived. Until their big break comes, Puregold, De la Salle Araneta, Adamson University etc became their client.

And the rest is history, they open different branches in Manila and in Cavite.

With this, we can conclude that everything happens for a reason and with patience and determination we can achieve anything.
